The Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), the world’s largest philanthropic funder of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) research, is proud to announce the designation of Hani Kushlaf, MD, FAAN, FANA, FAANEM, at the University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a CMTA Center of Excellence.
Dr. Kushlaf is a neuromuscular neurologist and professor of Neurology and Pathology at the University of Cincinnati. He directs the Neuromuscular Disorders Division, Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship, and Neuromuscular Research at the University of Cincinnati (UC), where he is recognized for his clinical expertise and leadership. Dr. Kushlaf completed advanced training at the Mayo Clinic and Duke University Medical Center, with board certifications in neurology, neuromuscular medicine, electrodiagnostic medicine, neuromuscular ultrasound, and clinical neuromuscular pathology, reflecting his broad clinical and diagnostic expertise.
Dr. Kushlaf’s CMT clinic is part of UC Health’s multidisciplinary neuromuscular program. It is dedicated to diagnosing, managing, and the ongoing study of CMT and related inherited neuropathies. The clinic runs on the second Monday of each month, ensuring consistent access to specialized care for adults with CMT.
