Barry Hett

Branch Leader Picture
Barry was born in Massachusetts and has lived in Wisconsin since 1995 when a job transfer brought him and his family to the state. He has CMT and knew something was up 7-8 years ago when he was experiencing the first symptoms of muscle cramps and numbness in his foot. None of his parents or grandparents have or had CMT. He lives in Two Rivers with his wife, best friend and spiritual partner Sue. They have a blended family of 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Barry is a retired HVAC/R technician and Sue is a retired health care worker. They enjoy family time, entertaining friends, traveling & camping in their travel trailer with their dog Archie “da Beagle”, and walking on the beautiful beaches along Lake Michigan. Barry is looking forward to starting and building a CMTA branch in NE Wisconsin so that people and families of people that have CMT in this area can network, share and encourage one another. He says, “There is something therapeutic about sharing experiences and information with people who have and struggle with the same things you do.” He also wants to be the conduit that helps connect you to the helpful and valuable information available to us from CMTA.
