Welcome to our Branch

What Are CMTA Branches?

CMTA Branches are volunteer-led local support and education groups for those living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease and their loved ones. We invite all community members to join these vibrant groups of active and caring individuals in your area to share resources, ideas, CMT-related information, and personal experiences and to, ultimately, build life-long friendships and support. Meetings focus on CMT education, awareness, research updates, fundraising initiatives, advocacy, and current events and will include guest speakers. The branches also offer a meaningful outlet for connecting with others who have CMT. All are welcome to join a branch near them or to participate in a virtual branch meeting.

Mark Willis

Branch Leader Picture
Mark has been the leader of the Central NJ CMTA Branch since 2009. He is the proud, proud dad of two great sons. The oldest is confirmed with CMT, and seems to be far more affected at his age than his dad was. Mark has been married to the love of his life, Jackie, for over 20 years. He works as AGM/Operations of private label packaging for Costco Wholesale. When he is not doing something for the CMTA or the branch he leads, he is probably working with his younger son's Scout Troop, where he serves as Treasurer, or his Church where he has held lay leadership positions, taught Church School and even served as Chair of the Christian Education Board.

Jacky Donahue

Branch Co-Leader Picture
Jacky just moved from Manalapan to Farmingdale, NJ, where she and her husband Don (a retired firefighter) enjoy the lifestyle of a wonderful 55+ community. They have 2 daughters, ages 25 and 22 (neither show signs of CMT). One lives in Morristown and the other just returned home from college. Jacky works part time as graphic designer. She retired from PSEG after 20 years in Corporate Communications. She has a BA from Gettysburg College and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Jacky has CMT 1A, as does her mom and her grandfather. Jacky wears AFOs, but the CMT doesn't slow her down. She loves the Jersey Shore, reading, and happy hours!
