The El Paso, TX CMTA Branch is for those who have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and their loved ones. We welcome you to join this vibrant group of active and caring individuals in your area to share resources, ideas, CMT-related information, and personal experiences and to, ultimately, build life-long friendships and support. Meetings will focus on CMT education, awareness, research updates, fundraising initiatives, advocacy, and current events and will include guest speakers. We love newcomers and hope you will join us at our next meeting!

Branch Leader Picture
I live in El Paso, Texas with my husband Daniel, daughter Olivia and our two Labradors. El Paso has been our home for 20 years, and we definitely love the desert Southwest. My mother had symptoms of CMT but no diagnosis. When I was diagnosed at age 12, it solved a medical mystery for my mother and her relatives! From that day forward, I learned to cope with and manage this virtually unknown disease. My daughter Olivia also has CMT1A and has challenged herself to live life to its fullest! Today, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I am thankful for my blessings.

Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I was diagnosed with CMT1A around age 9. Both my mom and I struggle with CMT every day and are always trying to learn new things that help! I am a senior at Coronado High School in the IB program. I am lucky to have many friends and family that support me in my struggle with CMT every day.
