Miranda Burge

Branch Leader Picture
Originally from Austin, Miranda moved to Houston shortly after being diagnosed via genetic testing with CMT2B2D to be with family and go to back to school for a third degree. Because of her CMT symptoms Miranda had to resign from a job she loved as a surgical assistant. She is excited to become involved with the CMTA’s Houston branch so she can connect with others who understand what she is going through and also help others with CMT to connect. She has work experience planning and producing fundraising events, leading volunteers and raising awareness for a nonprofit based in Austin. She is looking forward to getting to know everyone in the branch, to hear their CMT story, to help raise money for STAR research and to help spread awareness about CMT and the CMTA.
