Hello! I’m Josh and I am very excited to be the branch leader for the CMTA in Cincinnati. A little about me and my family: We now have 3 generations of CMT type 1 A in our family. Originally I am from Canton, Ohio. We relocated to Cincinnati in 2022. We are learning to love it here. We like Grippos and Goetta, but haven’t been fully into Skyline and Larosa’s yet. In Canton our family supported the MDA for many years. I was the local MDA poster child in the early 90s, helped with telethons, and had a golf outing for 22 years. My wife Sarah, is from Pataskala, Ohio and we have been married for almost 6 years now. We have two beautiful children. Adalynn is going to be 2 in September. She is an animal that gets into everything!! Grayson will be 6 in November. He was diagnosed with CMT when he was 2. It was the neurologist at the MDA clinic in Cleveland that took a deeper dive into some of Grayson’s symptoms and found out he had a Tectal Glioma brain tumor. After multiple surgeries in Cleveland we found the amazing team at Cincinnati Children’s and Grayson went from not being able to walk, barely talking, and barely eating, to being in school half days and playing challenger t-ball. I am fortunate to be the head coach of his team! Go Mason Challenger Mud Hens! Nothing is going to stand in our way to put an end to neuromuscular diseases! We are excited to be a part of this team, to help support families in any way possible, fundraising, questions, or just someone to talk to about challenges. We are here for you.
