Melissa was diagnosed with CMT 1A as a teenager, and there began her journey to learn all she could about this disease.  She is married with 4 children, one of whom also has CMT.  Melissa has been facilitating this branch since 2012, and hopes to be a source of information for the people in her branch. Whether it is actual information about CMT, resources for treatment or helping them connect with other people, she wants to help everyone feel like they are getting the answers and support they need. She is also very passionate about finding a treatment for CMT, and hopes that her daughter will not have to endure the same struggles that she has. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys singing, traveling, reading, playing piano, trying new foods, crafting and going out with friends.
