The Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, Canada is for those who have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and their loved ones. We welcome you to join this vibrant group of active and caring individuals in your area to share resources, ideas, CMT-related information, and personal experiences and to, ultimately, build life-long friendships and support. Meetings will focus on CMT education, awareness, research updates, fundraising initiatives, advocacy, and current events and will include guest speakers. We love newcomers and hope you will join us at our next meeting!

Kelly has been married for 11 wonderful years to her husband Eric. They live in Fergus, Ontario, Canada with their two young children. She is a Recreation Therapist at an active senior’s centre, where she has worked for the past fifteen years. Kelly truly loves her job. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, camping, watching movies, keeping active and educating everyone she can about CMT! Her family is affected with CMT Type 1A and everyone became involved with the CMTA in January of 2011 when she became the leader of the Southern Ontario CMTA Branch.

Julie Detta, Co-Facilitator,  was born and raised in Fergus, Ontario, Canada.‎ She works in the field of Veterinary Medicine and enjoys helping her furry friends. When not at work Julie enjoys spending her time with her family and being outdoors.   Her main goal with the CMTA is the continuation of awareness and education and to provide information and support to those with CMT.
