Wayne lives in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia. He is happily married to his wife Anna, and they have three wonderful adult children, one of which has CMT. Diagnosed by DNA analysis in 2016, as having CMT Type 1A, Wayne spends his spare time watching sport and movies, shopping on-line, dining out, and collecting diecast model cars. More recently he has become actively engaged with others who have CMT, both online through CMT community groups and also, in person through social meet ups, thus allowing him to build many new and valued friendships along the way. Wayne endeavours to deal with the day-to-day challenges of life with CMT in a positive manner, and hopes to use his involvement in the establishment CMTA’s first Australian branch as an opportunity to connect with fellow CMTers, provide support, share information and raise overall awareness of CMT.
