Developing therapeutics for CMT1A requires major funding by the CMTA, so we are extremely grateful to Seth and Missy Warfield for creating the CMT1A Challenge Match. In their push to raise $1 Million for CMT1A research by the end of this year, they will match all donations to their challenge up to $500,000.
When you participate in the Walk 4 CMT campaign, you fund patient programs and treatment research initiatives to better the lives of the the 3 million people living with CMT.
Please join us for the next meeting of the Newbury, NH CMTA Branch (via Zoom) on Saturday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. EST when we will welcome guest speaker, Jacqueline Piazza who is a professional meditation/mindfulness instructor with advanced training in Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness. Jacqueline is 58 and was diagnosed with CMT at the age of 19. At the time of her diagnosis, her family discovered that many of them had CMT but had never understood what was ‘wrong’ with them. She found a way to understand her body and relate her body to the power of meditation and mindfulness. Over the last 10 years, Jackie has been meditating and it has changed her relationship with her body and diagnosis. Please join us for this informative meeting. All are welcome – we love meeting new people!
To receive the Zoom link needed to join the meeting, please RSVP to branch leader Jacinta DaCosta: jacinta0723@gmail.com.
