New Mexico CMTA Branch Meeting (Virtual) with Special Guest
Date(s) - 08/01/2020
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Please join us for the next meeting (virtual) of the New Mexico CMTA Branch on Saturday, August 1 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm MDT when we will welcome special guest speaker Elizabeth Ouellette. Elizabeth is a CMT advocate and CMTA Board Member who is passionately involved in the mission of the CMTA. Elizabeth will be talking with us about a group she formed called “CMTActive” and the benefits of staying active with CMT.
CMT can slow us down and make movement difficult. Regular physical activity not only helps maintain active muscle mass and slow down the effects of CMT but also increases mood and lowers stress. Elizabeth believes taking small, but determined steps every single day can help improve physical and mental health. Through her own physical challenges and those of her son, she’ll explain the importance of making CMTActive a lifestyle and a mindset. Join our branch discussion to explore cherishing your body and giving it the support and care it deserves to take control over CMT.
