About the 2020 Patient/Family Conference:
Attendees will hear from therapeutic experts about how best to manage and live with CMT and learn about the incredible progress we are making to accelerate research through our STAR initiative.
The speaker line-up will include presentations from CMTA Center of Excellence neurologists, Dr. Steven Scherer (UPENN/Adult Neuro) and Dr. Alexander Fay (UCSF/Peds Neuro). Board Chair Gilles Bouchard will lead us through an in-depth STAR Research update to include breakout sessions by CMT Type (demyelinating or axonal). He will be joined by CMT researchers and gene therapy experts. Also offered will be breakout sessions on living and managing CMT with topics on bracing, physical therapy, emotional wellness, and staying active with CMT.
