The Ann Arbor, MI CMTA Branch is for those who have Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and their loved ones. We welcome you to join this vibrant group of active and caring individuals in your area to share resources, ideas, CMT-related information, and personal experiences and to, ultimately, build life-long friendships and support. Meetings will focus on CMT education, awareness, research updates, fundraising initiatives, advocacy, and current events and will include guest speakers. We love newcomers and hope you will join us at our next meeting!

Meet the Branch Leaders


Renee Meloche

Renee Meloche first became involved with the CMTA to support her husband, Tom, and daughter, Bethany, who both have CMT. Since then, she has become a passionate advocate for everyone affected by CMT. She started the Southeast Michigan CMTA Branch in July 2016, to reach and encourage Michiganders struggling with CMT and to support the CMTA in its mission to find a cure. Renee is also an international speaker and author who has written 30 books in her Heroes for Young Readers series, which encourages children to dream big, stand tall and be heroes. She graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. degree in Music Education and from Youth with a Mission’s School of Creative Ministries.
